Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

WRITING INSTRUCTIONS JOURNAL SAINTEX

PRELIMINARY
o Sainteks is a scientific journal with the scope of science and engineering including technology related to the textile sector published 2 times a year (March and April) by the Science and Technology Journal Unit, Faculty of Engineering, University of Bandung Raya.
o Sainteks is a forum for academics in the field of science and engineering to express research ideas in the form of writing that is ready to be published in the Open Journal System (OJS) provided that the articles sent are guaranteed authenticity and have never been published anywhere.

FORM OF TEXT
o Manuscripts can be written in Indonesian or English
o Manuscript writing is adjusted to the template provided

TEXT FORMAT
o The article title uses a sentence that represents the content of the article, but not like the research title; maximum 12 words; middle average (center); Cambria 14 bold font; capital letters only in the first letter of the first word.
o Author Not abbreviated, without title, in bold (Cambria, 12 pt, Bold, Centered) provide information on the name of the institution and the complete address where the author works, city, postal code, and Email: author.
o Abstracts and Abstracts: This section provides an overview of all the components in your article. The abstract contains research objectives, research methods, and research results, written in two languages, first using English, second using Indonesian in 1 Alenia, single spacing, using Cambria 10 pt italic font, a maximum of 250 words.
Keywords: 3-5 words written in Cambria 10 pt.
o File format in the form * .doc, or * .docx and not * .pdf, A4 paper size (210 mm x 297 mm) with top 3 cm, bottom 3 cm, left 2.5 cm and right 2.5 cm , minimum article 8 pages and maximum 15 pages, Cambria font 11 pt, single spacing.
o The manuscript is organized into 4 subheadings, namely: Introduction, Methodology, Research Results & Discussion, and Conclusion. Subtitles are written in capital letters in Cambria 12 pt Bold and are not numbered. A Bibliography is written sequentially after the conclusion with the same subtitle writing format.
o Introduction contains a description of the problem, the importance of the study, the research objectives (hypotheses if any). Besides, it also reveals various theories and opinions of previous studies and proposed ideas. Then the writer reveals the novelty of the research content which is the uniqueness of the research. Citation of references in the manuscript is written by including the source (author's name and year), using APA Style.

o Methodology
This section contains a summary of research methods, including types and methods of research, research subjects (population and sample), data collection techniques, data collection tools, and data analysis techniques (qualitative). For quantitative research, avoid writing excessive statistical formulas. For theoretical study research, describe briefly the flow of the research course (Kwon, 2002). The research method used must be written in a scientific manner, namely rational, empirical, and systematic. It is advisable to clearly state the time and place of the research.
o Research results and discussion include descriptions of research data, as well as discussion of research results conducted with relevant theories and research, referred to in the introduction. Mathematical formulas are numbered if they are referred to. If there are tables and graphs, it is necessary to write the title in the top position, while the picture/chart needs to be written the title at the bottom position. Figures and tables should be referred to in the article.
o Table If you use the table in the article, it is necessary to write "Table X.", X = the table number sequence that you used in the article.

o Images If your article contains pictures, be it pictures from the references you took (make sure you mention the source and write the references in the bibliography) or are an explanation of the results of the research, it is necessary to write "Figure Y.", Y = the sequence number of the image you are using on the article.

o Conclusion This section contains conclusions by the research objectives, not a summary of the content. Write concisely the results of the research
o Bibliography contains only cited libraries. Citation is written using the American Psychological Association 6th Edition (APA Style) model. For better and maximum results it is recommended to use the Reference Manager application, such as Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote, and the like. Example of writing a bibliography as follows: (make sure the bibliography is following the alphabetical order of the letters/alphabet)
Conclusion This section contains conclusions from the research objectives, not a summary of the content. Write concisely and the results of the research

Manuscript Submission Procedure
1. The author creates an account first on the scientific journal page: http://ejournal.uicm-unbar.ac.id/index.php/sainteks/user/register as an author.
2. Authors who have created an account can submit the manuscript that has been made on the submission menu. If there are problems in the suction process, the author can immediately send the manuscript or complaint via email: sainteksjournal.unbar@gmail.com.
3. Authors who have sent the manuscript will immediately receive a notification through the OJS system or email starting from the receipt of the manuscript until the decision is accepted or rejected.

Journal Feasibility Assessment
1. Each manuscript that meets the standard writing format will be reviewed by the Review Board by its area of ​​expertise and will also be checked for plagiarism.
2. Authors are required to correct the manuscript according to suggestions from Bestari Partners and the editorial board within no later than 7 (seven) days, while the rejected manuscripts will be returned to the author along with the reasons for rejection.
3. Determination of whether or not the manuscript is published is determined by the decision of the Journal Editorial Board through the considerations of Bestari Partners which will then be conveyed to the relevant author.
